River Rafting Vorderrhein

River Rafting Vorderrhein

Spectacular whitewater and a unique natural backdrop offer a spectacle of contrasts. The Vorderrhein, which has its source in the canton of Graubünden (Surselva) near the Oberalp Pass, offers plenty of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts. It's no wonder it's one of the most popular rivers in the Alps for river rafting. The river rafting tour in Graubünden stretches from Ilanz to Reichenau. The Vorderrhein takes you through the Rhine Gorge in Surselva, which is also called the 'Swiss Grand Canyon'. As soon as you see the steeply sloping scree slopes and the water-eroded cliffs, you'll understand why the Rhine Gorge bears this nickname.

The waterway is the only way to experience the Vorderrhein in all its beauty. That's because neither roads nor railways – not even hiking trails – let you see the entire Rhine Gorge. With this unique Graubünden River Rafting tour, our experienced guides will show you the spectacle of contrasts and let you experience the magnificent nature on the roaring whitewater. You can choose from the following river rafting tours. We'd be happy to discuss the details of group offers with you personally.

The meeting point for the river rafting tour on the Vorderrhein is Ilanz near Flims. The tour ends at Reichenau train station. It's best to leave your car in Reichenau and take the train to Ilanz, which takes about 25 minutes. Only certified personnel are used for river rafting.
